This horrible accident took place in Athens, Greece. According to police report, the Audi R8’s driver fell asleep at the wheel and the car drove off the road hitting the guardrail. This guardrail passed through the Audi – it entered in the left wheel and came out on the right side through the rear window. The driver was seriously injured at both legs and was rushed to the hospital. His girlfriend was lucky, she only had a couple of scratches.

The artist James R. Ford glued 4,000 toy cars to a standard Ford Capri and turned it into “The General Lee” vehicle from The Dukes of Hazzard. The end result looks like the Ford has been hand-weaved.

Notes about the making of this project by James R. Ford:

Transforming a second-hand Ford Capri into the General Lee, from the Dukes of Hazzard, by covering it in little toy cars. Over four thousand toy cars were needed and so, in addition to searching out and purchasing appropriate toy cars himself, an appeal was started for people all over the world to send the artist their disused toy cars. The donator could write a little message on the toy car, or mark it in some other way, so they actually became part of the art whilst contributing to the sculpture.

Germans released a new roadster with a 500-horsepower V10 engine. Not bad for a beautiful car with a great quality. But Vermot AG will produce only 30 examples of the super car. This car is really great.

Take a look at this Ferrari Enzo sporting, a new Arab taxi design. The $850,000 hypercar was spotted in Muscat, Oman, and also appears to have blacked-out rear lights.

These taxi’s wide, interchangeable doors can be hosed down. A built-in ramp lets wheelchairs or scooters roll right in.

This Standard Taxi has an internal combustion engine that can be converted to run on natural gas and holds an extralarge tank in its trunk, so drivers don’t have to waste time filling up during their shift.

Hybrid Technologies shows off a concept L-PT Cruiser Yellow Cab. The L stands for lithium, as in the lithium ion battery pack that would give the car a range of 120 miles and a top speed of 80 mph.
